The first kick off meeting

     In recent years, the attention and the need for green energy has been increasing day by day throughout the world, including in our Republic. Especially considering the climatic conditions of our country, it is not difficult to understand that solar energy is one of the most urgent issues. In this context, today, on the initiative of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khozrazmi, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the cooperation of 7 universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan and 3 universities of the European Union within the framework of ERASMUS+ Higher Education Capacity Building projects 101128871 — DEBSEUz — international project "Development of the targeted Educational program for Bachelors in Solar Energy in Uzbekistan (DEBSEUz)" numbered ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE is being implemented.
    It should be noted that the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khozrazmi is the main coordinator of the project and is responsible for coordinating the activities of participating universities of the project. In this regard, on January 22-25 of this year, the first meeting of project participants, and the project's opening ceremony (Kick-off meeting) will be held at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies. At this meeting, 3 higher education institutions of the European Union, including Italy's Politecnico di Torino University, Portugal's Universidade de Evora University, Spain's Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, as well as the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and 7 higher education institutions representatives are participating.
This meeting will take place in two stages. In the first stage, participants of the project, i.e. partner universities, will have a mutual acquaintance meeting, prospective plans for the implementation of the project, problems that may be encountered in the implementation of the project and their solutions will be discussed. Mainly project leaders participate in it with their presentations and share their thoughts.
    Also, the following issues were discussed by the leaders of the project in each university:
- Development issues of new bachelor's programs;
- Processes of creation of innovative laboratories;
- Ensuring project stability;
- Quality control and monitoring;
- Communication, news, and image of the project;
- Financial management problems.
In the second stage of the project, a workshop will be organized, leading representatives of the field and experienced scientists in the implementation of international projects will speak and make presentations on the state of solar energy in Uzbekistan, existing problems and their solutions, discuss measures and measures to ensure the prospects of this project and they conduct discussions.
We believe that this meeting is a reliable start to the DEBSEUz project, and will make a great contribution to the formation of special energy and upbeat mood among the participants to fulfill the tasks planned within the framework of the project.
